How we verify
We collect match data from official league and federation feeds and from independent data providers. We compare what each source says before we publish a number.
Cross-checking a score
For each finished match we put the sources side by side. The badge on a score tells you what happened.
- Confirmed by N sources: all the sources that reported the match gave the same score.
- Decided by source reliability: the sources disagreed. We kept the score from the source with the better track record.
- Single source: only one source reported the match. We could not compare it.
If the sources disagree and we cannot decide between them, we do not show a score at all.
Kick-off times
Times are shown in your own time zone once the page has loaded. Without JavaScript they show in UK time. A time marked provisional has not been confirmed by the organisers and may change.
Standings
A standings table is shown only when it agrees with the match results we hold. If it does not agree, the table is left out. Fixtures and results stay visible.
What we leave out
- Half-time scores and attendances where the sources disagree.
- Player squads from sources we could not check. Squads come from the competition’s official feed, so only some teams have one.
- Player nationality. A birth country does not tell you which team a player can represent.
- Player photos, unless the photo carries a licence that allows us to reuse it.
- Club badges and TV listings. We do not show them in this version.
A page with nothing to show is not published. We would rather have a gap than a guess.
